It's official - direct from Chevrolet
I got this e-mail from Chevrolet Owner's Center, and it had the following as the 'tip':
Did you know? A highly waxed vehicle reduces wind resistance (and looks great)! I would always tease people with slow cars that if they put a good wax job on, they would cut down their drag and go faster... I guess I was just giving them good advice!

Just waxed the blazer and took the top off yesterday!!!!! It's still a brick even with wax....

So longhornmail...does that mean that

......so if i give up the primer and go for paint and a wax job i'll probably gain 20 mpg......

longhorn, you can't get better mileage by just putting the can of wax on the hood.
If the wax doesn't help, just chrome it....

Loose the primer and paint and just wax the bare metal for that Delorean look (at least until it starts rusting) and pick up even more mileage.
