Weatherstrip

I tried searching but couldn't find it. Anyone have a link to the weatherstrip that someone had that was 2 seperate strips per door?

i was looking for the same thing.seems like it was last winter that someone had put together a kit that worked well.

Why not use the 1-pc stuff? I'm having trouble picturing what you want to use.

It's two separate weatherstrips. It has the regular strip that you buy from LMC or Manes, or wherever, but also has a second strip that goes on the outer part. Not sure if that makes sense? It's hard to explain without having a picture.

If you look at a newer style vehicle, it has two weatherstrips on the door. One around the inner part of the door, then another around the doors edges. It helps reduce wind noise and outside noises.

Wind noise is one of the benefits of driving old iron. There were so many gaps in these trucks that fit and finish was almost a joke. Add in some years and some wear/tear and you have additional wind noise.

I get how Rokrin is solving the problem. I didn't get the 2-piece concept until seeing the pic.

I guess if you consider wind noise a benefit. lol. My cab will soon be as quiet as a new lexus. After 160 sq. ft. of second skin damplifier pro and 50 sq. ft. of luxury liner pro, she should be nice and quiet.
