I was gifted my truck last year and visited this site while I was debating keeping it, or selling it and paying off the house quicker. Well, I ended up working more and paid the house off, so now I can fix what little needs fixing on the truck.

I have the leather seats, and the drivers side is tore on the base. (also the armrest is bad) Anyone do this? Use anyone in particular? (found one company, but don't want to be considered spamming, so would rather wait and see if anyone mentions them).

Truck specs: 2001 GMC extended cab SLT shortbed 4x4.

google is your friend. any auto interior shopcan fix them there is somewhere you can by the cover s online and just take themmand have them sewen on

I haven't had any personal dealings with latemodelrestoration, but have heard several people on here who have used them and been real happy with them.

If you have to have someone r&r the seat covers for you on top of the costs of them premade it will get expensive. You may chose to have only the bottoms replaced at most any upholstery shop. I have had just the bottom of each front seat in my Burb done @ 125 each by a local shop. They used what they call ultraleather. Holding up good after 5 years.

Check ebay. I bought a bottom seat cover in leather for my 96 Silverado for $170. Matched the top very well. I don't remember the sellers name, but the first seat bottom I ordered didn't match very well, sent it back and went with a different seller. GM replacements are about $280 for the top and bottom.
