Latest pic of my 72
This is how the body sits right now. Hoping to have this thing going and back on the road for mid July.

I wonder how much the front will drop with the engine in it.

I'm hoping it will drop quite a bit. That 350 has got to weigh a lot more than that inline did

If you want a drop, put in a BB. I spent 2.5 hours last night trying to wrestle one to mate up with the 4 speed already in place under the cab. If the top loader 4 speed would fit under the cab without jacking cab up I'd be happier to remove it an mate the 2 outside the frame rails but it doesn't. The BB is now down on the motor mounts but the bell housing is still a little over an inch apart from the rear of the engine. Oh well, back at it tonight. Your small block should go in easier, less mass to manuver and more space to manuver it! Looking good!

It's coming along finally. I should have my flatbed all finished within the next 2 weeks. The welding shop is making my bumper today and then I am gonna buy some boards and flatbar and get the deck done.

Good to see continued progress. I'm excited to see the flatbed done. Haven't seen a nice wood floored flatbed in quite a while around here. I used to see a restored mid 60's truck with a wood floor flatbed, but haven't seen it in about a year.
