Re: Engine upgrades-Opinions needed

Im not so focused on keeping the RPMs low because I have the gearing on my side. I'll take all the torque I can get but I wont throw away the high RPM HP in order to get it down low. With the cams I'm looking at and the heads the peak TQ should rise about 1000RPMs (just a rough estimate). Right now my peak TQ comes in at 2200rpms.

I currently shift at 5000 and the engine is still pulling but I run into two issues with my current heads; air flow and floating the valves. This all happens around 5700. With the higher RPMs I will definately run better ET's due to the fact that I can go faster than 106 and not have to milk it.

Now that I have thrown that out it might help you see a little more of what I have going on. I drive it on the street on occasion and run it down the track quite often. Now that the weather is getting colder its time to do some upgrades.
