which brakes do I have odd ?

I got the whole front end off a 83 truck which came with brakes etc. So I wanna replace brake pads, brake hoses and wheel bearings but when looking on Rock Auto website I get lost since they have so many different things listed. So how do I tell which pads to get, hoses and wheel bearings? Anyone wanna help me out here,TRYING to get it running by end of month and still got alot to due! Brandon

Front brake calipers due have GM part # on them if it will help.

Re: which brakes do I have odd ?

If you are talking about a 1/2 ton, the parts usage is determined by rotor thickness. It can be either 1" or 1-1/4" and is easily determined by measuring.

Re: which brakes do I have odd ?

brans72, you are absolutely right. I looked at Rock Auto and this is definitely the most confusing parts listing I have ever seen.

The only clues that might help are the rotor listings for 4.65" and 4.95" overall height. I am guessing that the 4.95" is the 1-1/4" thick rotor. To confirm this, you could look at parts in a brick and mortar store. When you find a rotor that is 1-1/4", that should identify the truck model for parts ordering purposes.
