One piece Barn Door glass seals?
Was wondering if anybody makes a one-piece seal for barn door glass. If so how's the quality? I bought a set of seals from GMC Pauls and they are two-piece, a single piece of rubber and then a bead that gets cut and pushed in,.......which may work just fine.?
Haven't installed anything yet, but wondering if a one-piece exists and wouldn't be cleaner? Thanks. |

Re: One piece Barn Door glass seals?
I've never seen one piece ones.I don't think you could make them where they could be installed and would still stay in.There has to be a positive pressure to hold them. All of the rear windows I have seen are done with the bead whether for PU cabs,or sub glass.I agree it would look a bit cleaner with just a one piece.
Also the one you have is like the factory used.If a one piece would have worked the bean counters at GM wouldn't have let them spend the $$ to tool up for two pieces.
