Black spots on rearview mirror?

I have these blackspots on my rear view mirror. Researching online it seems like the majority of the answers are to just buy a new mirror. Do you guys have any tips for getting rid of the blackspots?

Re: Black spots on rearview mirror?

You could have it re-silvered.

I just googled this probably more places can do it.

If you can get it apart without breaking it go down to the glass shop and get a piece cut. The repop mirrors jiggle while driving much more than the originals.
