best way to install bed upper trim?

i installed all the lower trim and most the upper trim except the upper bed spears. with the double wall construction of the bed sides makes it diffucult to attach the trim. i know there are "stickies" that were used by the factory but i was looking for a more permenent way to attach it.
i thought maby "barrel nuts" ???
any ideas?

Re: best way to install bed upper trim?

The 69 and 70 models used a push in expandable clip. I think you will need to drill a 3/8ths hole for those. Last one i did, i drilled the holes before i painted. Sure sucks to take them off however. Eric
