Heater/AC control lever replacement

Has anyone replaced the levers on a heater/ac control? How do you get them off the housing? I have a 1972 Blazer with a control that's never been touched. I searched this question but not coming up with much.

Re: Heater/AC control lever replacement

Perfect! I thought I remembered this write up but couldn't find it. I suck when it comes to searching things for some reason. Thank you very much it will be a big help. I was stuck at what to do with the plate that holds the levers on. It's nice to have reassurance that I can bolt it back on. All this for one broken lever!

Re: Heater/AC control lever replacement

Does anyone know where to get the clip that holds the cable lever to the lever that goes through the front of the control panel? I destroyed my clip trying to replace my one broken lever and the replacement lever I bought a year or two ago didn't come with a clip.
