How to remove stepbed in one piece?

Hello all,

Id like info on removing a 69 stepbed in one piece?
Im sure its been covered but i couldnt find anything when i searched.
thanks for any assistance!

I should be making some good progress on my pickup in the next couple of weeks ill be sure to post pics

I use two chain falls to pick the bed off and then drive or push the truck out of the way. Here is a pic of a stepside which is being installed. I made up oak blocks to fit the bed posts to use as lifting points. The front of the bed is covered to prevent damage to the cab or bed.

I do the same with two hoists. Once I had to lift one outdoors without a hoist. I used sawhorses on either side and 2X4s across to rest the bed on. Then roll the truck out from under.

2 staught 25 yr old guys.....set out the saw horses, feed em lunch & beers That box is not that heavy, as compaired to a fleet box.

I used some of the stake pocket tie downs, 2 lengths of chain and my cherry picker. Since the stake pocket tie downs use rubber, I have to readjust them when I goto relift it a second time. NO biggie to me.
