I got this truck for 700.oo it was ruinn but I did lot of work what do u think THE GUY SAID IT WAS A SPIRIT OF 76 TRUCK THE DOOR PANEL SAYS IT THE PLATE ON FRONT SAYS IT BUT ITS FADED WANNA GET A NEW ONE ANY BODY KNOW

Looks like a great truck, and especially for the price. The blue and white is my favorite color on the 73-80 trucks. You may check with HotRod73. Jeff has a lot of info on the special edition trucks on his site 73-87.com/. Keep us updated on the progress.

Does it show any thing on the glovebox option listing (SPID)? It almost looks as if those door panels were added.

All the Spirit of 76 trucks I have seen have had that blue/white painjob like the one at the top of the thread. I have seen some with white dash pad, visors, door panels, etc.

Elgracho knows more about special edition trucks than anyone, you could try PM'ing him.

Well if your truck turns out to not be rare, it's still a sharp one. That and the fact that you bought it cheap makes it a rarity on it's own right.

Yes both chevy and GMC offered spirit of 76 p/u's and no I could not find anything I do know that eBay has door panel emblems for $40 if find any info plz let me know thanks Click on my username and you well find all my pics

Hi i been tring to find out my if 1976 GMC Royal Rrande 4x4 is a Spirit of 76.I was told it was and it has the Spirit of 76 door panels and it has the same blue and white paint job as the Spirit of 76 2wd in this fourm.
I am trying to find out if they came in 4x4 short wide and hope if anyone has any type of pictures or info on this truck i would highly appreciated. thanks

I've had no luck

finding much info on a spirit of 76' trucks but i'll keep trying and post any info i get & more pictures before i start restoring my 76' but here are some pictures of the 76' GMC royal sierra 4x4 i picked up. i'm not sure if they even had a 4x4 model of the spirit of 76', mine has the spirit of 76' white door panels with blue interior with i believe a royal grande or sierra grande badge on the dash. the pictures were taken right before it was picked up and brought home.

does anyone have any pictures of idea what the interior of a spirit of 76' is
supposed to look like, i have the door panels like above and thought that the spirit of 76' door panels were the only thing the truck had from original way it drove off a lot. the bench seat looked like someone put two covers over a original spirit of 76' bench seat with colors red white and blue in not to bad of shape. i was going to go with bucket seats but really not sure now. will post pictures if anyone interested

Hi!
I´m Interested of pictures of the interior and of exterior to if any one got that.
I got some pictures on my computer of the exterior, but i had no luck trying to get it in here.
I have a K20, Bonanza, Camper Special, Spirit of 76 and it´s white.
The bench seat is blue and white the top of the dash is blue.
And i think that the exterior should be white whit blue and red striping and some blue and red stars on the fenders and in front of the hood.
I´m going to restore it to as original as possible, thats my plan and i got a Fliteway Co camper made in december 1975 to match it.
And if the spelling is strage it´s becouse i´m from SWEDEN.
