wiring.....for constant
i have a 1969 gmc c2500....and want to install a stereo........where do i connect the red power wire and the yellow wire.........the red one goes to the fusebox but what about the yellow one.......

One should be hot all the time, and one should be hot on accessory. Both of these should be available in the fuse box.

acc. is also ign. and the cig should be constant in this case.

at the ignition harness pink is switched ignition and red is constant power all wires are a thicker wire up under the steering colum usally with about 6 other larger gauge wires always fuse!!!!

red on the head unit is most times power switched, for use'n the radio
the yellow is hot 24/7 for the clock and station memory, some will also have a gray, that ties into your dash lights, to dim the radio with the dash.. good luck |
