Heater controls?

I have a 63' truck with thrift heater, I wanted to take out my old heater switch controls and use the 64-66 controls instead. but I wanted to know if the 64-66 thrift heater controls will work with the earlier models?? the electrical connections seem to be the same and cable should mount up well. anybody ever done this, thanks.

Re: Heater controls?

That looks just like the heater switch in our '65. I guess what are wanting to do it change from that style to the lever style?

Re: Heater controls?

That's the same kind of switch in my '66 as well. I wasn't aware that 64-66 had a different style of control switch (but then again, I'm new to most of this).

Re: Heater controls?

yeah, the 60-63 controls are diffrent. So my plan is to use the 64-66 control and mount it under the steering wheel. then fill the hole in the dash. I just wanted to see if anyone else has done anything like this.
