Speedojunk
1972 Chevy SB 350/350. Can the speedometer be repaired/rebuilt or is replacement the only option? The speedometer is jumpy. I just installed a new speed cable. Also who sells the least expensive printed circuit board for the dash cluster? Thank you for you help and insight!

Re: Speedojunk
Are you sure the gear in the trans is good? You can chuck up the old cable in a drill to check the operation of the speedo head.

Re: Speedojunk
Most cities will have a speedometer shop that can repair these units. Check your yellow pages first and if you don't find one, look online. However, as already suggested, try turning the cable with an electric drill before you start tearing the dash apart.
