Will I like the Old Air non air system for my 67?

I hope i did not jump the gun.I was looking around for info on air for my 67 and came across Brothers last day sale on complete Old Air units.I ordered the CAP-7201-I nonair cab w/heater control indash louvers.When i look at the picture of the kit i see a knob on the side of the box that goes under the dash.I read somewhere when you do not have a air condition controller in your truck you have to do something different.I almost ordered the electronic unit and controller it was $1245 +$92 shipping.I ended up giving $949+92 shipping for the cable operated one.Did i mess up?

Have got my underdash unit in, but truck isn't going yet. The knob you are talking about is a thermostat. Probe goes into the evaporator, you can adjust the level of 'cool'. I like how it uses the origonal controls, looks great in my opinion. Non air cab (heater controls) just use a decal on the controls. Should be fine.

So no, I don't think you messed up. AC cabs (mine) still have the thermostat deal, uses stock controls, I don't see any problems.

These aren't built to supply any floor heat though aye. Only defrost, an A/C.

You bought the correct set-up. I put the same one in my '68 non A/C cab last month, it works well.
