Truck Data Book

For any one interested I have been slowly taking a 59 Chevy truck data book and making it website. The "Truck Data Book Specifications Catalog for Salesmen" as GM calls it has a huge amount of data about what we own, what options were then available and what accessories were available. It also contains engine, brake, transmission, Cab specs, Frame specs, Tire combinations, you get the idea. This is a slow process but I do have some pages up and completed and will keep posting new pages as time allows or the ADD permits.

If the mods feel its worth making this a sticky in the 47-59 section feel free.

Re: Truck Data Book

Those Data books are cool. Try finding them for GMCs. I had a bunch of Chevy data books. I ended up selling them except for a 59 that I found mixed in my GMC liturature.

Re: Truck Data Book

GMC books are very rare and very pricey. Chevy books are getting over a $100. I want to get a 56 or 7 book to add because it will have the cameo and some other options not in a 59
When I get to the point of colors and some of the other thing that need pictures I'll have to scan them in. Hope fully it will help out those that don't want to drop a $100 for a book.

Re: Truck Data Book

$100.00 for Chevy data books is cheap. When I sold mine I was getting $200.00-$400.00 depending on condition. I only have one GMC data book USA and two Candian that are complete. I have two partial USA and one canadian partial. Here are a couple interior pics from the 56 and 57 Chevy data books I sold.
