I plan on keeping the truck stock. It's going to be used for short in town runs to the lumber yards. I'm looking for the cheapest route to a running truck and it has to pass ohio's e-check.

My brother-in-law is probably going to be the one rebuilding the engine. He said he can do the boring and honing. I did find a price for a complete (?) kit that'll run about $450 and that is half the price of a rebuilt engine or by having the work done from a local machine shop.

I sure wish I knew more about rebuilding, but I'm too cheap to buy a book or video.
