Coil Springs
I am working towards getting my suspention put back together and will be putting lowered front and rear coil spings on all four corners. The question I have is that I have upgraded my entire front end, control arms and all from a doner 1980 truck. Is there a difference in springs between my old '63 setup and my updated '80 setup?

If your ordering springs, buy for the donor truck. My understanding is many of the suspension components are cheaper for 73-87 trucks. Check to see if the springs are cheaper too.

coil springs (Front) are the same 67-72 -73-87

Thanks for the repleys.
So this is what I have found. CPP for example sells front coils for 60-72's in either 1", 2", or 3" for $95 a set and also sell 73-87's in 2.5" only for $125. So what gives? Whats the big difference since I thought the basic design of the stock control arms and crossmember did not change through all those years. Why the limited height options for the 73-87? and charging $30 bucks more a set.

Buy Summit Racing brand front springs.
They sell them in 2 and 3 inch drop for 73-87 trucks. Good product, cheap price! Posted via Mobile Device
