Re: New dash pad with guages ???

I've only seen one of these in a camaro. Unfortunately I dont have any pics but this dash pad is sick!!! The guy I spoke to said it ran him 300.00 bucks plus shipping so def. not cheap. I could be wrong but I think he said they even have them with speaker perforations for center mounted speakers.

$300 doesn't seem too bad. I was thinking of putting a clock, trans temp and vacuum gauge in the pods.

Re: New dash pad with guages ???

they aren't so new... been out at least 5 years now.
A draw back that many don't think of, the fact that it goes all the way to the windshield can (will) cause some nasty reflections on the glass in the direct sun.

Not a bad look at all..... and if they're willing to deal on dropping the price or taking a certain percentage off then go for it.... I assure you, you wont be diss appointed

WHAT. how.. most cars have a padded dash, alot are black and have no issue
the stock dash is paint this is black
I have one. payed 290 4 years ago..
it's waiting to be installed..
it is a nice piece.. much better than that useless strip of rubber the factory gave it..

Re: New dash pad with guages ???

if you look at your stock steel dash, it's supposed to be painted with flat paint. This, is to reduce the glare.
There is more to the glase issue than dash make/color. Angle and curviture of the windshield, and how far forward the dash face it being the main two.
My post was just to inform, not saying don't buy it. I left my opinion out of the reply. I never mentioned how I feel on it's looks, or how I doubt anyone needs a total of 10 guages, or how the styling is out of place in a stock/near stock int of an old truck.
I give the information I know, so the people considering the part, can make a more educated decision. Some people have a HUGE issue with reflections in the windshields, others don't even see the reflections right in front of there face.
