Re: crew cab short bed question????

Look in the Project and Build section. There are several of them there. They have been the fad for the last year or better.

Re: crew cab short bed question????

tow me did a diagonal cut under the cab where the center cab mount (or second burb body mount) is.
why not just shorten the heavier crew cab frame to accept the short bed?

Re: crew cab short bed question????

the crew cab is a 2wd and the suburban is 4wd. i hate the way a bolted on front spring brackets look. i want it to look factory with the factory rivets. plus its going to be my wife's mall crawler it doesnt need the 1ton frame. Thanks for the info on where the cut was, now that the suburban body has been removed i can see where it needs to be cut. Now to get my sb truck frame.

Re: crew cab short bed question????

I'm doing the same thing.
burb tank in the rear with the factory in tank pump and fuel lines. The factory fuel lines have a union in the vicinity of the rear axle in the burb. My plan is to go to the parts store and find 3 lines the correct size and 3 unions to fill in the gap. I believe putting the tank in my CCSB has moved the tank back 10-11" so I should be able to get 12" pieces of line to make it work. That is what i plan on doing next weekend. Oh, and I'm also going to have to extend the wiring
