My reinforcing rib hangs down in the way. Can't do it that way/ worried if I take out the rib it is too flexy. I really want a cloth headliner on a cardboard/fiberglass insert. Now I am thinking about how to make that and finish the edges.

the headliner would be the support you need that would take the place of the bow your talking about
