Pic. Request of 1969 interiors

I just picked up a 69 Custom Comfort and Convenience optioned, short bed, big block truck that was originally red with red cloth seats. All of the trucks I have bought until now always had the vinyl seats. Unfortunately, I have no clue what these original seats looked like because this truck now has an 80s model bench seat in it. Does anyone have pictures of original interiors or restored to original interiors of 1969 cloth seat trucks that had the Custom Comfort and Convenience option?

If someone could also post pictures of what the original CC&C door panels looked like that would help out immensly as well!

I've got an interior pic: The seat cover I will warn you has seen better days, but if you can wait until January (getting a new seat then), I'd be happy to sell it to you. Foam and springs are good, just needs a new seat cover.

cam.man,

If 1956cameo decides to pass on the seat, I would be interested in talking with you about it when you switch them out. I live in Leesburg, VA which I think is right across the river from you.

Just keep me in mind. Thanks!
Curt

Re: Pic. Request of 1969 interiors

Camman67, I am not really in the market for a seat right now. At this moment I really am looking for pictures of original 1969 CC&C optioned truck seats. If I were you I would definately sell the seat to camrycurt.

Re: Pic. Request of 1969 interiors

The cloth inserts are located where the driver and passenger would be seated. You can request a cloth sample from a company called SMS Auto Fabrics, located in OR. Check 'em out on-line, too. I have samples of the red and also the black cloth that I got from them.

I know that the cloth was the standard material on the seat, but I'll wager that more seats were sold with the vinyl option, than the cloth....for durability. My truck had cloth and was in black. I'd hate to crawl into a black truck, in a southern summer and sit on black vinyl. Even with AC, the seat doesn't cool for a bit.

Re: Pic. Request of 1969 interiors

ChevLoRay, Thanks again! I will check them out. Looks like the main aftermarket parts suppliers don't carry anything but the vinyl seats. Its good to know someone out there has what I will need.

RCbowtie69, Thanks! So it looks like they got the vinyl door panels and not the plain steel ones.

Re: Pic. Request of 1969 interiors

I just went throught this drill with SMS and had a local lady sew them up. We took my original seat and used as a pattern. You will have approximately $400-$450 in material from SMS. I had the scrolling done and the ribbing on the top back and lower back so it would be 100% original. They charged $29 to ship about 30 miles.... The labor on the seats was $160 and it was very nice. I bought 2 yards ($89) of the cloth and only needed 1 1/3 yards so you can cut down a little there. You will actually need 3 yards ($40?) of the vinyl to get an edge on the front where they make the welting. Be patient with SMS they work on their time frame!! Mine has a small seem there and originals go all the way from driver side to passenger. I just got these last night so they are in my office. The top needs to sit in the sun to remove a couple puckers which is normal. Trouble now is we will not see much sun until late Spring. The vinyl color was spot on and the grain matched 100% Plan on $600.

Re: Pic. Request of 1969 interiors

John H. Thanks on the information. I will have to check SMS out. The only company that I knew could do hard to find original GM interiors up until now was Cars Inc. it is good to know I have some choices out there for upholstery work.

Re: Pic. Request of 1969 interiors

I installed it today and it really matches the way I thought it would. I also added a black dash pad as the truck did not have a tilt in it originally. Here is one before and a couple others. You can see the darker brown 71-72 color versus the 69-70 saddle. I now have a set of NOS shoulder harnesses that are not close. Sorry for the cell phone pics.
