Re: Gauge Cluster

I found that the GMC cluster was hard to find in AZ cracked, brittle and broken. I was going to use it for a mold anyways. However, I changed my thought and decided to go with all equus guages. I like them and not too expensive. It is amazing what $6 dollars can do for your dash.

$1.00 for 1/2 MDF scrap

$5.00 for patch of suede

had a can of spray glue and spent about 45 minutes fabbing it up and cutting it. Very cheap looks great.

Re: Gauge Cluster

I bought Dolphin guages for my 65, then used a piece of 1/4" thick Cherry wood and made the holes for the guages, stained it and put it in with the stock restored bezel. Sorry I dont have any pics of my interior but I think you get it.

Re: Gauge Cluster

Here's mine. I just used some Lexan trimmed to fit like original gauge lens. I cut the holes where I wanted them and then painted the back with black paint. The tach hangs from a custom bracket made to fit in the old visor loacation.Jeff

Same gauges as Rusteeze64GB just in stock bezel. I just haven't install them all yet.

Re: Gauge Cluster

I shape the cluster the size of the total outside bezel size. then with the suede wrapped around it I just stuffed it in there. It is a super snugg fit. It does not pop out unless you reach around the back and pop it out. When I fit it in there I pushed from the bottom up and then pushed it in at the bottom. I hope that helps.
