Re: Lmc tailgate?
What I heard is the plain ones are junk, very thin and dont fit well. The stamped ones are a little better but still have problems with the fit. I got a GMC tailgate in a round about way that orginally came from Mikes bump and Grind. I had to do some work on it to get it to fit, but I think it was mostly due to the bed on the truck. I had a big gap at the top on one side. I loosened all the bolts on the bed and got a racheting hooked down strap and hooked it to each side and racheted it down and retightened the bolts. With a little more work I got it to fit perfect....

Re: Lmc tailgate?
I'm happy with mine (stamped version) Its not as heavy as original, but its heavy enough for two 300 pounders to sit on with no trouble. The fit was good after some very minor adjustments. My .02

Paid about $525.00 delivered. Came with about 3 big dents in it. They offered me a replacement, but time was of the essence. They suggested that I go to a Body Shop, get an estimate and send it to them. The estimate was $800.00 (way Hoigh), but they DID offer me $200.00. Sent a check to me 3 days later. I was satisfied.
