Winterizing(gas tank)question?????????

I hate to say it but its time to store my truck for the winter and have gotten stuff to keep the mice out, mothballs, dryersheets, and irish spring soap and am wondering about the motor and gas. I have fogging oil for the motor but next spring im taking the motor and tranny out to seal the motor and hopefully swap in a NV4500 in my truck and i was wondering about the gas tank. Should i just empty the tank sense the motor will be out next year and im going to redo some stuff in my cab to so the gas tank will be removed next spring also or how should i do it.. This is the first time winterizing my truck and i want to do it right lol any information would be great!.

I always fill my gas tanks all the way up or leave them empty, but they always have a fuel stabalizer in them. Seafoam is what I use.

your removing the tank in spring.. but are you replacing it?
if not.. full it and add a fuel stabil to the fuel..
empty tanks rust and rust does great things to fuel filters..
if you're replacing it.. it only matter if you'll need to move it.. otherwise you can leave it empty
