I didnt realize how much power the ol 350 had. (Never really tried SLAMMING 1st-2nd). It threw me back in the seat pretty good , But when you hit 2nd it bogs down bad . Hey hub, What is your name anyway? Mine is John. Would you recommend a 700r4 to me? Was the swap hard, difficult tricky, would you do it again? And what did it cost (est.) Thinking about ditching the ol 3spd, yeah its cool but doesnt go fast and OD would be nice..
Thats all for now, I need to do a bunch of free misc. things that are free and just require time, And alot of things that cost $ that I cant do right now. I need to start hunting some 4wheelers to fix up and Im going to swing by advance auto this week, I turned in my application over the weekend they said to check back after that..(supposed to be hiring someone in the next week or so..)

WHat? my name is actully hubscrub ........................................no most people call me nate , i do like my 700r4 some seem to think that a 2004r is better because of the gears are closer the 700 has a lower first gear i think. the swap was not hard i made my crossmember but you can buy them i have not hooked up my lockup converter yet it would drop the rpms another 2-3 hundred more i would say. I would do it again the cost was around $1,100 but i did buy a fresh rebuilt trans from a local guy and that included a converter, dipstick, TV cable, the shield thingy and a 18 month warr. the other hundred was what i spent with the shifter cable stuff for my column you could do a hard link shifter if you just did some thinking i might still do that and the speedo gears (i have yet to do and buy) will cost alittle to get your speedo right and the lockup kit you get too. you would also have to get a radiator for a auto. i bought a 4 core for about 200, and a driveshaft would have to be made we just cut down a one piece and used it
