Aluminium or Stainless Fuel Tank

Who makes them. Do you have internet address.

I'm looking to get rid of my in cab tank and go to one under the bed.

I just don't like everything i'm hearing about the filler neck on the poly and i really don't like how low they look in the photo's i've seen.

My other option is I will build my own. Then the question becomes Aluminium or Stainless. If i do that i will deffinatly shoot for 25 gal min.

What are you thoughts?

Thanks
Dan

Dan, i agree with ya on the poly tanks, I prefere aluminum, but stainless would be sweet, I wonder what the cost would be on a stainless. Check out this link

I saw those messages.

If i do make one. I plan on getting creative and work it around some of the crossmembers to gain more capacity.

Building either isn't a problem, since i do that often at work. Just don't know if i want to pay the price for the stainless or the aluminium. I'm leaning towards the aluminium just because it is easier to work with.

I've read some of the wranglings over the poly tanks, and as a poly tank owner, I just don't see what all the fuss is about (excepting the ultra-heat of AZ, etc.). If you want a metal tank because you want more volume, want a different filler neck location, or just like the look of metal, I can see why you might want it. But...
