91 burb window motor
Anyone ever change a window motor on a 91 burb. , whats the steps already got panal off...THANKX

Remove the two nuts and two bolts that retain the regulator to the door.
Work the rollers out of the channel and then remove the window and secure in a safe place. Rotate the regulator so that you can access the connector and then the bolts that retain the motor to the regulator. clean and regrease the rollers, pivot points, and gear portion of the regulator reverse everything and try not to grease up the window too bad

I believe the deadly spring is inside the motor...do not disassemble the motor itself without safety in mind.

Yep they're spring loaded alrighty. Tightens up when you roll the window down and relaxes when you roll the glass up.

If you are replacing it cause it is so weak, maybe get one from an older Suburban. My '80 power windows roll up in about 2-3 seconds. It gets lots of comments about how fast they are, all 4 work the same, perfect! The '86 and '91, not so good. Just don't get your fingers in the way.
