few questions bout my 83 stepper

i have a 1983 chevy 2wd c-10 stepside, and im buliding it up form the ground up, im 23, and im doing all the work my self with my dad and a buddy, i have a stud on the frame that broke for the shock to attach to, it broke when i was takeing the truck apart, and i cant seem to figure out where to get a new one, or 2 might as well re place both of the back ones, another question is, im wanting to get a set of 18x8 boss 338 with the gray centers, has any one had any problems with them fitting there truck? mine is lowered 3 in the front and 5 in the rear, would like to go lower but not sure what would be the best route, i dont have a lot of money, but i do have attention to detail, any suggestions on what to do to make my truck lower, im all ears, thanks guys your all a huge help to me, and cant wait to see what you have to say about what ive asked thanks again

Re: few questions bout my 83 stepper

I just did new monroe shocks on my truck and they came with new studs for the rears, along with new bolts.

Re: few questions bout my 83 stepper

tried the parts store for new shock studs? I know they have them. I also know some shocks have them as mentioned, some do not though.

Re: few questions bout my 83 stepper

try these first and ask both guys what diameter the NON-threaded part is as shocks have different size holes.
