Re: Project Where'd The Money Go
Yeah, me too when I saw activity on my thread. Hahaha. I went by the paint shop last week and they showed me the 'issues' with the blend. Basically, it didn't. They have to re-clear the whole truck. Basically, all the custom body work left nowhere to blend certain areas easily. And of course, they are swamped with insurance work they have to do before mine. That's the price you pay for using a standard body shop. They tell us "We promise to TRY to have it done Thanksgiving week". Yeah, we'll see. So far, not one date has been met. We understand the situation and knew what we were getting into when we chose to use them, but man, I sure didn't expect it to still be in paint a year later. Ugh! We have so many parts waiting to put back on the truck!!! At least the progress should really pick back up once it under our control again. Tomorrow, I'll try to remember to at least shoot some shots of the mirrors that will be going on the truck. We fastened them to the little aluminum corners that come with the one piece windows. Thanks for sticking with us through the "intermission" ![]()

Heck, when it takes a year to get the paint done, you have plenty of time to save. ![]() ![]()
