Re: 73-87 1-ton capacities

They may have gotten a bit heavier towards the end of their run, but I would think most 73-87 1 tons are about the same. They can vary within the model year from about 8,800GVW to over 10,0000GVW. In most 1 tons I believe you will find the 14 bolt full floater rear end.

Interestingly my '73 3/4 ton is only rated 800lbs less than my '79 1 ton. (8200 vs 9000 GVW)
