I may be wrong but I believe that is Special K's house and truck.

I don't think so. Special K lives not too far away from me up in MD.

Re: Check out this tow truck

The truck was pretty custom back in the day. Those visors are from when vans were big in the '70s.It had chrome stacks, too. The wheels are chrome Budds, not simulators. The bed rails are GM accessory. That picture was back in '07.I've gone back and forth with keeping it.No lack of love there, just put it out when money got tight. It was always a dream to own one.If it weathers the storm it will be restored to full glory one day.For now,I like it's patina'd veteran of the road look.I have a set of original west coast mirrors to replace the crap the p.o. put on.
Here it is now:

Here it is at Carlisle Trucks '08:

Re: Check out this tow truck

There are very few of us who wouldn't love to have that truck. I have always liked wreckers and I'd roll that one every day, just for funsies.

I like it and I'd love to have it.

Re: Check out this tow truck

I take it to cruise-ins with for kicks.I had planned to put a Cadillac 500 in it,but sold that.It had the conversion oil pan and all.I pulled it from a '53 Chevy car hauler.Right now it has a 327,not that that doesn't do just fine.I kinda wanted the 327 for something else and a big old Caddy torque monster would just be a cool surprise under the hood.A Cummins diesel would be awesome.
