Ever seen this before?

I was at an antique shop with the wife. In a case was a bunch of model cars and trucks and some advertisements. This caught my eye
It was a pot holder. It read "On The Move" The Chevrolet 70's and then had the name of a local Chevy Dealership.

A little odd I think but kinda cool. Iv seen postcards and other advertisements put a pot holder?

Dealerships used all sort of giveaways from key fobs to ash trays. Never seen a pot holder but sounds neat.

Re: Ever seen this before?

Yes I've seen pot holders, my dad gave them away, I don't have one but wish I did. Here are a couple things I do have from when he was in business, ash tray and a ash tray you push down on top of a beer/pop can and a yard stick

Good eye!

Those pop tops are rare these days.

Lots of those little tabs where all over the roads back in those days.

402, I'll look for it
Swamp Rat and C20, those are the real deals, tin can (not aluminum) with pop top. I found them at my work back behind a wall I tore out

Re: Ever seen this before?

The stuff from Nickey Chevrolet has to be very desirable and collectible given that dealerships significant presence in the muscle car era.

Re: Ever seen this before?

Sorry about the crappy pictures off my cell phone but I thought I'd toss this in there. For you youngsters out there we call this an album. Apparently in 1970 Chevrolet paid Dionne Warwick, Glen Campbell, and Burt Bacharach to cut some tunes to sell with 1970 Chevrolet cars. I came upon this album from a co-worker. He saw a picture of my 1971 black on black Monte Carlo then spied this album at Goodwill. Now it is mine.

I never played the album. I'm sure it is groovy.

Re: Ever seen this before?

Pot holders make sense. These trucks are hot! In '70 they were calling them "The Movers".

In certain circles the pot holder is what we know as the bed.
