Steering column question
Greetings:
Is there a way to "tighten up" the automatic shift lever on a 72 tilt steering column. Everything works, but it's pretty loosey-goosey when putting the truck into gear. I'm assuming there are some worn out parts in the column, but I can't find anything on how to make the repair. Thanks. |

Re: Steering column question
Unless you know the problem is inside the column, check out all the linkage joints first. These wear more rapidly because they are exposed to water and dirt. The bushings are still available from the specialty parts vendors.
