1969 GmC truck RALLY WHEEL fits on disk brake kit ..help ???
Ok,,
I am ready to order the Brake kit with 2 1/2 drop spindles frpm POL . They gave me a great price ,,and yes shipping will get you,,, I do have the original truck , V6 , 2wd drum brakes on front and I am looking to use the 2 1/2 lower spindles to start and I know I need to replace the brakes. I was able to get a set of 15x8 Rally Wheels that come off a 73 chevy 4x4 and the person told me that his truck had disk brakes. Just trying to make sure will work,,Does any one knows for sure? I already got tires and putthem on the truck ,,,amazing I did not use spacers and they fit perfct on the drums . I am concern on the rotors on the disk brakes Well,,,any one ?? |

They should fit if your disc brake kit is 6 lug

Really interested to know if this kit will/won't work with the rally wheels, I myself just recieved this same kit today, had my rims sandblasted/painted and new tires mounted earlier this week.

I used 2 1/2 drop spindles from "McGaughey's"(sp) and their disc kit.I have 73^ 6 lug 4X4 Rallies and 235/70-15 TA radials.I haven't had any rubbing or problems of any kind. This of course is just my experience and may be different on your application.

What makes you say that?
Normal a-arm trim in the lower balljoint area,... just like the 5-lug trucks with 15x8 ralleys. Worked fine on my truck with 2-1/2" drop spindles and 3" drop springs. 72BlckButy had them on his truck also with 2-1/2" drop spindles and a 2" drop spring.
