By the way I have an NV4500 out of a 2000 Silverado...from my research it looks like they were still available in the 2007 Silverado 2500 CLASSIC. In other words there were some 2007s that looked like a 99-2006 but were labeled and sold as a 2007. The 2007+ newer body style ("non-classic") are all automatics.
It's my understanding that the 5.3L and 5.7L have the same cranks. I know the 5.7L (aka LS1) had manuals behind them.
