WTT 67-68 Speedwarning

I have a speedwarning cluster with tach backing plate - the tach works. The speedalert was restored by PT's Customs and included the original wiring harness and buzzer. I am not interested in selling this unit and really dont want it to go but my "TRIMPARTS" tailgate band is not cutting it on the 4x4 and I would like to trade the speedalert for a perfect NOS tailgate band and some boot- boot can be in form of other NOS small pieces or $150 cash- that is figuring the band at a value of $200 and assuming it is a late band with the plastic letters. PM me if interested please, thank you, Harold

Re: WTT 67-68 Speedwarning

Harold, what is wrong with the new repop bands? Is it just the woodgrain pattern on the applique? I just like knowing what parts are good. Thanks Trevor

Re: WTT 67-68 Speedwarning

Trevor, I thought it was a nice piece when it came out of the box, in fact it looked just like the NOS unit on my 71, until I sprayed off the 4x4 tailgate to clean the dust and buff material off. It was then that the black began to buckle and wrinkle a peel. I dont want to slam a product especially one that was supposed to be made in USA but a new part that was $180 should not do that. I am afraid though that they are going to balk since I have owned the part for nearly 2 years waiting on the truck to get painted. I guess that is what for stock piling so I will have everything when paint is complete.
