Shifter connecting rods question

Probably going to the junkyard today. My floor shifter died. I was wondering what the year ranges I could go for to get the rods that connect the transmission to the colunm shift.

P.S.: Could I get V6 and V8 or just V8 rods? I know inline 6 rods are to long.
