need info about rebuilding a sm465
I posted this in the engine and drivetrain section but only got one response so i figured id ask this on this section. I have a 69 c20 with a sm465 and the tranny is starting to leak and show signs of wear and i am making the truck into a daily driver so im thinking about rebuilding it just to have the reliability. My question is how hard is it to rebuild this trans? What tools will i need and or will help me in rebuilding it. Do you have any tips for me or build threads on this tranny? Ive never rebuilt a transmission before but i cant imagen these being to hard. I was thinking about just taking it in to have it rebuilt but kinda want to do it myself so any information and expereince on this would be great.
