Seat Belt Question

Hello Everyone!

I am finally getting started on my project. My trucks not home yet, but I've been messing on it a bit. Pictures in Welcome Thread

I'm sure you all have seen this...

No Bids... Will they fit 70-72 CST's?

Thanks Jeff

Re: Seat Belt Question

Welcome to the board!

Personally, I'm not a fan of buying used seat belts. If the vehicle they were in was in a hard crash there could very well be unseen damage due to stresses on the belts. Realistically, it's my belief that they are only good for 1 real hard hit & then they need to be replaced.
But that's just me & my .02.

Once again, WELCOME!

P.S. I found this in the review board:

I'm redoing my truck interior and wanted to update to 3 point seat belts. I looked around at the wreckers and could not find anything interesting. Found this website

http://www.seatbeltplanet.com/

Very helpful people. I emailed Steve a couple of time and finally called him to place my order. I'm putting a bench seat in so I can take 3 people. I ordered two 3 point belts $65.95 each and a lap belt for $16.95 in yellow.
They were shipped UPS instead of US Postal as I requested and had a $63 charge when they arrived. I called Steve about this and they credited me that back as it was their mistake.
Can't wait to install them and was a very good experience dealing with them.

Re: Seat Belt Question

Yeah I saw those, but I couldn't figure out how all the extra buckles and stuff worked. My 72 has a set of later 3 point seatbelts.

Re: Seat Belt Question

El Jay, Seatbeltplanet.com looks like the best option for me. I am looking for newer 3 point sets in Dark Green. I'll bet they can help me!

Martindc1, I couldn't see how the would work either... Must not be for 71-72 Trucks

Thanks Again Guys!

Jeff

I am pretty excited about getting my Driver going.

Re: Seat Belt Question

WE sell Beams Seatbelts we can save you some money. Seatbelt Planet is the website for Beams who is the Mfg. Just remember they do not use the existing bolts and you have to make or buy the brackets to bolt the retrator down.

Here is a post in the review section
