Where did you get the cage and what are you going to do in the dash area? Are going to re-install the factory metal piece or go with something different?

Re: got that drag steering column, 14 point cage conversion and motor plate

i got the cage at s&W

and im not putting a dash in,

i making a billet gauge panel out of 7075 aluminum.

with billet brackets that clamp onto the dash bar and where the plate gets bolted to which spaces the plate out 3.25 inched from the bar.

i finished the plate, im working on the brackets now, i have the program written on the one cnc mill.

i sanded the plate at 40, 80, 120, 220, 400, 800, 1200, 2200, 4000 grit, then polished, its a straight mirror.

the only pics i have are are my phone and i dont know how to send them to my computer.

Can the roll cage be installed with the metal dash still in the vehicle? I guess if I cut it out I could just install an older style dash.

you could prolly get away with cutting a hole in the metal part and slotting the plastic part.

The chassis shop that I use, cut a hole in the metal portion of the dash, then I notched the dash pad. It turned out really clean, and gives you more room to get in and out of the cab. Mine also has a funnycar cage, so space in the door opening became a premium. Paul Baxter

Very nice! I used the same type of column in my corvette. It is a really nice piece for the money.
