67-68 gear shift lever question

I need to know are the 67-68 3speed manual coloum shift and auto gear shift levers the same.

The three speed column shifter is shorter and slightly smaller in diameter and has bend in it but the end that goes into the column is the same as automatic column and will work and looks better than the long automatic shifter to me.
