Truck won't start!

My 71 has no power to the ignition. I turn the key to acc and there is no power to my radio. When I turn the key to start it, the brake light in the insrument panel goes on, but there is no juice. Bettery is fine, I thought it was the ignition switch and got a new one. Still nothing.
Can you guys help please?

Re: Truck won't start!

Did this problem start all by itself, or did it occur only after you did some kind of work on the truck?

Re: Truck won't start!

Just a few suggestions I have found that works. I replaced the positive and negative cables on my '71 and made sure the connection points were clean and shiny. The ground wire goes directly to the engine.

Doing this fixed the intermittent problem with the engine turning over and starting.

Re: Truck won't start!

It ended up being my starter solenoid. There was also a ground issue for the dash that needed to be tightened.
Thanks for your help gentlemen. I appreciate it
