Suburban Rear Heater
Has anybody ever installed one in a Suburban equipped with only rear ac? What are the components? Where can I find a diagram?

Re: Suburban Rear Heater
Best thing to do would be to yard out all the parts from one in a wrecking yard to include the wiring and switch.

Re: Suburban Rear Heater
I wonder how hard those hoses will be to pull intact.

Re: Suburban Rear Heater
for the heat only you can just buy a roll of new hose
you won't notice a leak behind you if the hoses are old(i didn't) i got told at a stop light bypassed/ripped it all out there is a floor model (heat only)and ceiling model(heat and ac) a local auto parts place called princess auto has the multi application floor type for general use but it looks the same as the burb just a core with a fan really the important thing is a shutoff for the back in the summer

Re: Suburban Rear Heater
The name of the store is really called "Princess Auto"?
Sorry, but imagining what the store would look like just cracks me up. But on a serious note I have seen used units out of Suburbans here for as low as $50 on Craigslist, but they go fast. That included all everything that's up in that diagram above. Awesome deal for sure!! |
