You'll need a timing light with dial back to check total timing. I don't have one and don't know how to use it, all I have is a basic light for setting timing at idle. 16 is good initial as long as you unhooked the vacuum advance and plugged it.

forgot i had this. this is the stock 305,long tubes and 2.5 pipe into flowmaster 40s

like my 0-80 oil psi gauge?




bigger motor and cam sounds wayy better dont it?
