That little guy? I wouldnt worry about that little guy. Its a 68 Buick Electra 225 with the factory 7.0L 430 in it. Runs when it wants to. Ive been sanding about a foot a week to prep for flat black. I have a long ways to go. Here are pics when I got it and a proposed final product. Someday.

I tried to buy the pickup in the driveway, but he would MUCH rather sell me that 71 Caddy.

I saw the seat and just had to have it. I didnt realize it was hunter green till I showed up. My wife saw it and said "well, it looks like we are painting the truck green".

Re: 74 GMC part build part photo album thread

Ive been going off this tutorial: http://128.83.80.200/taco/axle.html to get the front end apart. I had a seperate thread ( http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=421663 ) describing my "death wobble". Still dont know officially what caused it. And since we HAD to replace all the studs anyway, and the brakes needed to be inspected, well here we are.
And yeah, I know I have a sever PS fluid leak. But right now, I got other fish to fry!

I also broke an allen wrench. I sheared it right off!

To make the wheels fit. There was a slight clearance issue.

Re: 74 GMC part build part photo album thread

personally I think the other wheels looked better, and it's a great looking truck. good stance and very solid.

As for sound clip i think the idle needs turned up some.

Just on the front for now. And yeah I did too but I can't just not use 2grand worth of included wheels n tires lol. The old tires were completely trashed.

Re: 74 GMC part build part photo album thread

PO had the rim hubs machined out to get them to fit too, so its almost a shame to let all that machining money goto waste

Re: 74 GMC part build part photo album thread

I think the trucks looks alot better and meaner with the new rims! Those old rims where kinda outdated imo.
