Need help on brake booster connection please!
Hey Folks,
I just can not for the life of me figure out how to hook up the vacuum line from the brake booster to my 84 straight six (250). can anyone describe to me clearly how to do this or better yet post a pic of how it is hooked up in your rig? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Norris |

i asked myself the same exact question about a month or so back.... according to what i've picked up, you're engine produces carb vaccum, and intake vaccum. depending on what needs vaccum, depends on where you put it. for the brake booster, put your vaccum in the intake... like Jonboy said, their should be a place behind the carb. good luck!

Thanks for the replies but my problem is that it is not a small block. I have three of those and have no problem with where the vacuum line hooks up in those rigs but I am not as familiar with the straight sixes and I did try plumbing it into a hole in the intake that had a threaded plug in it but the truck wouldn't even start with that setup. I think I will try a different tactic and call on all the guys with the straight sixes. Thanks though.
