Chance to buy a new truck

I have a chance to buy a 70 cst10 from a friend for 500 bucks, there are only a few things wrong with it, it need valve cover gaskets(easy), it has no brakes whatsoever(not too bad)..........its a flat bed(sell and put one we have on)........and last but not least, its pink....but i guess i could brush up on my painting skills, it has had the rockers replaced at one time, not the nicest job ive ever seen, and there is a little rust starting in the passenger cab corner.........factory ac cab(he cut the radio hole w/ tin snips, it look horrible) sound like a good deal??? o ya its a 327(obviously not factory) and im not sure what tranny, but do you guys think thats a decent deal??

Sounds ok if you are willing to do body work. The pink worries me, how well do you know this friend? If it runs and you have the money, why not?

buy it for the 327, part it out and make more than your money back.

........and last but not least, its pink....
If it is Factory paint that color it was know as Coral Ice I believe.
There are not a lot of these left.
Most were respayed another color.
I did see a door once at a swap meet that was this color and it was a suburban door.
It is an unusual color to say the least.

As always please correct me if am am wrong in this line of thought.

Have fun
