Hi, I have one from a '67 shortbox 4x4 that had the rockwell t-case in it. Let me know if you need measurements, or PM me your e-mail address and I could get ya some pics.

Re: W.T.B. 4x4 rear driveshaft

I might have one. How quick do you need it? Its about 2 hours away at my storage barn. BTW, I believe Rockwell LWB 4x4 had a 2 pc shaft. There is a cross sill that the bearing hung too. I have one of those too.

Re: W.T.B. 4x4 rear driveshaft

Hi David,
I'm not sure of the years. My 1968 has a two piece driveshaft, but I have a 69 with a one piece (no good). I dont know if it was some kind of a conversion. Anyway, what I'm looking for is a one piece shaft for a conversion I'm making for a 4x4 around and at least 63" or so center to center of the Ujoints. Any year. Thanks

John

Re: W.T.B. 4x4 rear driveshaft

I got one (one peice), still in the shipping tube. LOL, I think I got from Jerry Moss (original member), way back when. Opened it, measured it and put in back in the tube. Sold the project... Anyway not sure when i'll get out there, maybe this weekend, but for sure the first week of Dec.

Re: W.T.B. 4x4 rear driveshaft

The shaft should strech out to about 68-69 inches + or - .

Re: W.T.B. 4x4 rear driveshaft

Hi David
Thanks for the post. It sounds like what you have is an automatic driveshaft which may or may not work. I was hoping for something just a little longer , but this may possibly work. Could I get another measurement fully extended center to center, and a measurement from weld to weld on the tube too?

Thanks

John

Re: W.T.B. 4x4 rear driveshaft

Thanks David , Tom and 70bkazerx2
I just went out and made a couple of calculations and it looks as though I'm going to need at least 61 3/4 fully compressed. It seems that only the one piece, 4 speed Rockwell 4wd shaft will work. They are the only ones that , I believe are long enough.
